2023 Season - Senior Team Captains and Team Announcements

Where do we play? Our leadership in a summary

With the 2023 Season fast approaching and fixtures finalised, Railway Union is happy to announce that we will have 5 Senior Men's Team and 1 Women's team competing in the Open and Women's Competition in Cricket Leinster.

Our Men's Team will be as follows:

  • Men's 1's Team
  • Men's 1's Team will be returning to Premier League this 2023 Season along with their participation in the Irish Senior Cup and Alan Murray Twenty20 Trophy.
    Liam McCarthy will be leading the side for the first half of the season, before handing over the reigns to Philippe le Roux for the remainder of the season. The Irish U19 International will be away on academic endeavours for the first half of the season and we wish him luck.
    Brandon Kruger from Munster Reds joins Railway Union
    Brandon Kruger will be joining Railway Union for the 2023 Season. The right arm spin all rounder has been a part of Munster Heats in the previous season.
  • Men's 2's Team
  • Men's 2's Team will be kicking off their season on the 16th of April against Clontarf in a Away League game. They will be playing in the 2XI Premier League, Senior 2 Cup and Tillain Cup (T20). The team is being lead by Devesh Sharma
  • Men's 3's Team
  • Men's 3's Team will be kicking off their season on the 9th of April against Clontarf in a Away League game. They will be playing in the Division 6 and Middle Cup. The team is being lead by Adriaan van Dyk
  • Men's 4's Team
  • Men's 4's Team will be kicking off their season on the 22nd April against Pembroke in a Home League game. They will be playing in the Division 10 and Intermediate Cup. The team is being lead by Maninderjit Ghai
  • Men's 5's Team
  • Men's 5's Team will be kicking off their season on the 15th of April against Tyrellstown in a Away League game. They will be playing in the Division 15 and Russell Court Trophy (T20) . The team is being lead by Anudeep


Anna Callahan on receiving the Sharp Cup Best Batter Award for 2022 Season

Women's 1's Team
Women's 1st Team will be kicking off their season on the 5th of May against YMCA in a Home League game. They will be playing in the Division 3 and Sprint Coatings Minor Cup (T20) . The leadership will be shared by Carol McKenzie, Amy Kelly, Anna Callahan and Robyn de Klerk
