Weekend Grand slam achieved!

What a week for Railway! Not only did all men's team win their games, but they were joined by the women this time after their fantastic win over Pembroke last Wednesday. Amy the star performer there taking the only wicket as they restricted Pembroke to 118/1 before hitting 47 off 53 in the chase.

Saturday saw the 1sts entertain Bready in the Irish Senior Cup. Cricket aside a big thank you must go out to Elaine, Ciara and Nippi (and family) for putting on a great day. It was very well received by players and supporters of both teams. The off field success was mirrored in the game as Punya spearheaded the batting to set a target of 285. Brandon then took 5-16 in the reply as Bready fell 130 runs short.

Saturday also saw the 5ths win in Greystones with Lalit and Amandeep both taking 3 wickets as Greystones were restricted to 118 ao. 55 runs from Jasper then meant a 7 wickets victory was secured inside 24 overs.

Sunday featured the 2nds at home to North County with 59 from Devesh helping Railway to set a target of 202. Talha then took 4-14 in the reply to help bowl them out for 139. The 4ths took on Castleknock in a T20 with Jasper hitting 55 off 38 in Railway's 6 wicket win there.

The 1sts were also in action as they took on YM in 2 T20s. A handsome 9 wicket victory in the first game, with Hamza taking 4-19, Liam 3-8 and Riley plundering 51 off 28, was followed by slightly closer 2 run win in the 2nd. 39 off 28 from Fakhar in the chase set up that victory.

Finals day now awaits them this weekend in Pembroke. Railway take on Balbriggan at 11.30 with the final at 4.30pm. Lets get as many down to support them as possible!

The 3rds then completed the weekend's grand slam with a 9 wicket victory in Clontarf. Ali staring with both bat and ball taking 3-6 in the 2st innings before hitting 48 off 29 in the reply.

The fantasy league is hotting up with Rob and Anudeep both top of the league at some point over the weekend. Nippi has ended the weekend on top though, but with a lot of cricket to be played its still all to play for!
